A
Family Company
When David Walsh contacted his
stepbrother in Australia after 25 years, he could never
have imagined that it would result in the birth of his
own company.
Following a reunion at their family vineyard, Wirruna,
in Victoria, John and Sandra
Woodhouse introduced their daughters, Tracey and Joanne.
Joanne had created handcrafted soap made from wine lees,
a natural by-product
of the wine making process. In 2003 she formed her own
company, The Curly Vine.
Incorporating wine lees from her family Wirruna Estate,
Joanne and her father developed three soaps, Chardonnay,
Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, which were an immediate
success.
The Curly Vine is now supplying many outlets in Australia
and Asia.
As David and his partner Julia arrived in Victoria,
Joanne was looking to expand the business whilst retaining
the family oriented, exclusive, handcrafted qualities
of her soap.
With a lifetime of relevant experience, her newly discovered
uncle was the perfect person and so The Curly Vine UK
Ltd was born. |
